Bushnell, just minutes from Brookings, is one of the region’s foremost arts communities, and is home to several artists and their studios.

The Brookings region is strongly committed to the arts and the evidence is all around—you’ll find galleries in historic buildings, coffee shops, and restaurants that feature original works of art from local artists.

The South Dakota Art Museum celebrates the legacy of artists from South Dakota and throughout the nation with permanent galleries, changing exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and guided tours.
